Event Information

Location: Jackson Flat Reservoir, Kanab, UT. Parking is available below the dam and along the road east of the start, near the rodeo arena. It is best to arrive early to get a parking spot and set up transition.

Course Information 

​Course Information 

​Swim

Location: Jackson Flat Reservoir, Kanab, Utah

 

Start: The swim begins with a time trial start from the sandy beach.

  

Course Route: Swimmers will navigate a triangular pattern, starting along the reservoir wall and swimming clockwise around buoys before returning to the boat ramp for transition.

Turnaround Points: Designated by buoys, swimmers will turn at each corner of the triangle.

  

Spectator Viewing: Spectators can watch from the shoreline beach and land near tansition; however will not be permitted on the trail along the dam.

  

Transition: After the swim, participants proceed up the boat ramp for the swim-to-bike transition.

 

Wet Suits will be permitted if water temperatures don't exceed 78 degrees F.

Lifeguards: Positioned in open water sections of the swim course for participant safety.

Bike

Olympic: Route Description: Cyclists will travel around the reservior on the reservoir trail counterclockwise remaining on the right side of the trail. Cyclist will continue until old US89A.

 

Loop Section: Cyclists will navigate down Sunburst road and retrun to 1100 E, where they will complete the loop one more time before returning to the reservoir.

 

Return Route: After completing the loop, cyclists will retrace their path on the trail.

 

Safety Measures: Marshals and officials will be stationed along the route to ensure safety and provide assistance as cyclists cross the road. The road will be closed.

Sprint: Sprinters will follow the same course as the olypmic however will have a turn around point on the Old US89A and will then return to the reservior.

Run

Sprint: Runners complete one clockwise lap around the reservoir trail. 

Olympic: Runners complete two laps clockwise around the reservoir.
